According to the official notification issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education, the admit cards for JEE main 2014 can be downloaded from January 12, 2014.
The admit card can be downloaded by visiting the official site of JEE main 2014. The steps for downloading the admit card is quite simple actually. You just have to visit the site, click on the link for downloading it, enter the correct application number and password and click on the submit button and there you go. The applicants should note that this admit card is the most important document for the exam. Without this document you cannot enter the examination hall because this is what authenticates your application. The admit card contains the candidate’s name, registration number and photograph and as such it also works as the ID proof during the examination and throughout the application procedure. So in case of any error in the admit card the candidate must inform the authorities.
Together with the JEE Main 2014 admit card, the candidates are required to carry with them their photo identity proof which may be a driver’s license, voter ID card, college or school ID card, passport, etc. These documents will be thoroughly examined by the invigilator and only after he is satisfied with them, you will be given the entry to the examination hall. Thus, the candidates need to ensure that the documents are properly authenticated and are genuine. Any kind of fault is not permissible and impersonation is liable to punishment. Having read so far the readers must have been aware that the admit card is the most essential document and has to be kept as it is and with much safety. It should not be torn, dirtied or crushed. The admit card has to be preserved even after the examination and until the admission process is complete.
